Movie Night

This is what we're watching tonight!

Just Cute!

I'm sure many have seen the video of the couple who decided to jazz up the traditional wedding march.

The kids have seen the video while standing over my shoulder a few times - however, Gianna REALLY likes the video. So much that whenever we're at Bamma's house, I have to let her watch it.

I took photos of her watching the video - my favorite part is when she sees the usher, who happens to be bald. Gianna gets so excited and starts yelling "Dada, Dada!" (I personally think David dances better than that guy, but that's really not the point!)

Thursday

I know - original title.

Today was another good day. Both Evelyn and Chris ended up coming over today - so we spent the day outside enjoying the sunshine while we watched David work on odd projects. Really, David spent more time visiting than working - who could blame him!

Here are the kids playing and enjoying their day.

Bamma bought this beautiful mask for Gemma at Kooza. Spencer didn't want anything - apparently he was hoping for Legos...
Wow! Look at the boy on 3 wheels!! Watch out, he can be a maniac on that tricycle!

After dinner, the kids went to Bamma's house for a little while so David and I could run an errand. Actually, we went to buy a new camera. I was going to buy David a camera as a surprise, but then I told him about it and then he told me he was going to be me a new one so he could take our old one (which is only three months old).

This is our "old" camera.
And here is our NEW camera! It's awesome! I'm actually wanting to read the manual and since we purchased it at an actual camera store - I get 4 free classes!
After the exciting purchase we went to David's favorite place for a nice "cold-one". Since it was just the two of us, we decided it counted as a date. We take what we can get!

After our date, we went back to Bamma's and picked up three very clean children. Thanks for bathing them, mom!

Wednesday

Not a creative title, but it works.

Gemma and Spencer took golf lessons in July and were able to put their learning to work this morning when David took them golfing. They played 9 holes - best ball. David forgot the camera, but here are a few pictures from their lessons last month.

Just think, in a few years David will have his own four-some; Gemma, Spencer, himself and Gianna!

Then this afternoon while Gianna was napping and I was home baking cookies, David took the kids bowling. (The kids are going to be very bored with me next week!!)

We ended the evening with dinner at our house with Grandpa and Nonna. And it was a yummy dinner - thanks, sweetie!
The week is flying by too quickly, but the kids are enjoying every minute with David - and I am too!

Lazy Day

Today we spent most of the day at home. David had projects to work on and the kids spent time outside playing and riding their bikes. Gemma has almost perfected riding her bike sans the one training wheel. She CAN do it - she just gets scared. Hopefully by the end of the week she'll be up and riding so we can go on a family ride.

We had plans to have dinner with Chris and Dominick, but we had also promised (before making plans with C and D) the kids we'd go to Perkins. They have a magician on Tuesday nights - and this will be the last Tuesday that the five of us will be together for a while. Here are a few picks from kids night at Perkins! Thanks to Chris and Dominick for being good troopers! :)

Our good friends Dominick and Chris with Gianna.
Gemma and Daddy decorating their cookies. Spencer didn't want to get sticky, so David had to frost his cookie for him!

Waterpark!

We finally made it to the waterpark this year! We went frequently the summer I was pregnant with Gianna, but we never went last year. To make this trip even better - David was with us! Here are a few photos from our fun day.

Here is a little "friend" Gemma found in the pool.

This is the first year that Gemma and Spencer are big enough to do the Lily Pad! They're growing too fast!!

Family Pictures

Here is our 2009 family photo!

We had our family photos taken in June by Sarah Kannenberg - a fabulous photographer that my sister introduced me to. She did my nephew's wedding, my niece's maternity and baby announcement photos and our family photos last year.

I realized early on that I have NO control over the children. I learned this during Gemma's three-month "photo shoot". Since then, I've always told the photographer to just click away and capture whatever happens (and I've stopped going to big-box "photographers").

Gianna was trying to sneak away from me and Spencer was trying to keep her on my lap; so he just spontaneously kissed her!

A Day With Bamma

Today mom took Gemma and Spencer to see Kooza. Spencer lasted until intermission which was 90 minutes into the show, but Gemma and Bamma stayed for the duration and enjoyed the show.

After the show, we went to our favorite Mexican restaurant for dinner and Bamma came along. (Since Gemma invited her - she couldn't say no!)

After dinner we needed to stop for gas. It looks like Spencer may have a future in car-detailing! :)

Church

While David, Gemma and Spencer were in church this morning, Gianna and I were outside at the playground. Being almost two makes sitting in church quietly impossible!

Joshua's Birthday

Our nephew Joshua turned 9 on Friday and we celebrated on Saturday. The kids spent the majority of their time outside enjoying the beautiful weather playing soccer. Here are a few photos of the day....

This is Gianna and Libby giving each other "fist pumps". That's Gianna's new thing to do!
