Oh, Christmas Tree

I finally put up the Christmas tree today.

I'm just not in the Christmas mood this year. I know that sounds terrible, but with everything our family has gone through in the last month, I feel it's ok to admit my lack of "spirit".

Spencer made that star in preschool in 2005 and we've used it every year since.

I must admit, having Christmas music playing in the background as the kids and I decorated the tree helped "cheer" me up a bit. Maybe having this visual reminder will help too.

Oh, I just noticed, the lights on the top portion of the tree are NOT lit!!!! Ugh.
